Amorphous Flexible Solar Panels

Amorphous, flexible solar panels are a pretty sweet up-and-coming technology. Amorphous is derived from Latin and basically, means "shapeless". Amorphous, flexible solar panels can be cut to any shape. The advancements being made in this technology are really awesome. I just read an article that charitable organizations are using amorphous, flexible solar panels in third world countries to produce lighting through LED lights in places which have no electricity. That's an awesome thing. Apparently, the apparatus they've constructed is very easy to build and the charitable organizations are teaching the locals how to build them themselves, giving them the tools, equipment, and know-how.

For uses closer to home, solar panels are expected to drop in cost by 50% within the next year. That's amazing!  The technology of solar panel is getting better and more efficient every day, and the cost is being driven down by government backing and by a huge demand. There are rebates out there for many states in the way of solar power, and government research is bringing solar advancements into fruition. This means that exciting new technologies are going to continue to reach the markets every year that are going to keep getting cheaper and cheaper.

Amorphous, flexible solar panels are really great simply because they have a much broader scope of application that the old fashioned silicon panels, which are still seen on the roofs of many neighborhood homes. The main factor is the fact that they're both light and portable and can be made to fit just about any shape. Add to that fact that the cost of solar technology is expected to drop by 50% within the next year and you've got a formula for lots of clean energy.

a Solar energy is exciting thing in the development of America, I'm also excited by the potential of new green collar jobs which will be created by this kind of technological advancement. Green collar jobs are one of the brand new booming industries, things like solar and wind installation, and green consulting for large energy using industrial plants. With the cost of solar to be cut in half, and with the exciting new advances in amorphous, flexible solar panels, the demand for this technology is obviously going to explode. Once this happens, there's sure to be a large increase in the demand for green collar type jobs, and this I'm hoping will help restore the beat down the American economy. The Wind and solar power are both fields that US manufacturers are researching in hopes to produce in large quantities. My big hope is that America will capitalize on this opportunity and create lots of manufacturing plants for this excellent new technology. Once this happens, we'd be able to use in-house manufacturing to arrive at a greener nation, while at the same time stimulating the economy and jobs.

Energy is big business, and America is one of the big leaders in energy consumption. Switching over to solar energy would require a huge amount of manufacturing and money. Traditionally, that's been the one downfall of solar. The cost. This country just spent A TRILLION DOLLARS in bailouts. Imagine if that money was spent developing solar manufacturing plants instead. We could get the corner on an exciting new market that's due to go global. Solar is the way of the future.

I hope you enjoyed this article about amorphous, flexible solar panels and the cool new innovations in the green technology field. Thanks for stopping by!
